What is Identity Verification?
Identity Verification (KYC) is the process of identifying and verifying the identity of customers. It aims to protect your account from threats such as fraud, corruption, money laundering, and terrorist financing.
Why is Identity Verification Necessary?
Venkate recommends users complete KYC to enhance account security. Users with KYC also have higher daily withdrawal limits and access to fiat trading and P2P merchant applications. Depending on your region or the specified payment channel, you may need to undergo further identity verification to enhance account security.
How to Complete Identity Verification on the Venkate Website?
Step 1:
Go to (https://venkate.io), log into your Venkate account, and click on the upper right corner [Personal Center] - [Identity Verification].
Step 2:
Click [Verify] to begin verifying your account.
Step 3:
First, follow the steps for [Web Sumsub Channel Verification]. If your country/region does not support Sumsub verification, please refer to [Web Manual Channel Verification Steps].
Web Sumsub Channel Verification Steps:
After clicking [Verify] in Step 3, the system will ask you to provide identification documents and perform a live check. You can choose [Continue on this device] or [Continue with mobile].
Select your ID type and issuing country/region.
Prepare to upload your documents. Note: Please upload color photos or files, and do not edit the images.
Follow the prompts to upload the front and back photos of your ID. The photos should clearly and completely display the ID information. After uploading, click [Continue].
The system will then require you to perform a live check. Choose [Continue] or [Continue with mobile].
Follow the on-screen instructions to position your face within the frame. Do not wear hats, glasses, or masks, and ensure adequate lighting.
Slowly turn your head as directed by the green indicators.
If you see a prompt indicating your data has been uploaded, please wait patiently for the review to complete.
- During the verification process, do not refresh the browser.
- You can attempt the Sumsub verification process up to 3 times. If your application is rejected 3 times, we will provide a manual review. Please be patient.
Web Manual Channel Verification Steps:
After clicking "Verify" in the third step, select and enter the country/region, ID type, name, and ID number. Then, follow the prompts to upload the front side of the ID, the personal information page, and a photo of yourself holding the ID and your signature. Finally, submit the information.
You will return to the verification page, indicating that your information is under review. Venkate will review it within 2 days.
After completing these steps, please wait patiently. Venkate will notify you via email or internal message once the review is complete. Check your registered email or notifications.
How to Complete Identity Verification on the Venkate App?
Step 1:
Log in to your Venkate mobile app account and click the top left corner to enter the personal center.
Step 2:
In the personal center page, the top will display [Unverified]. Click the arrow on the right.
Step 3:
Click [Identity Verification] to start the personal verification.
Step 4:
Select your country/region. Note that different countries/regions have different limits and verification channels. Venkate supports Sumsub or manual channels. Ensure all entered information matches your ID documents.
Step 5:
Follow the steps for [App Sumsub Channel Verification]. If your country/region does not support Sumsub verification, refer to [App Manual Channel Verification Steps].
App Sumsub Channel Verification Steps:
Select your residence and click [Continue].
Choose the issuing country/region and type of your ID.
Follow the prompts to upload the front and back photos of your ID, ensuring the information is clear.
Complete the live check by positioning your face within the circle and following the on-screen instructions. Do not wear hats or glasses, and ensure adequate lighting.
Once the system uploads your data, wait patiently for the review to complete.
- Do not refresh the app during verification.
- You can attempt Sumsub verification up to 3 times. If rejected 3 times, manual review will be provided.
App Manual Channel Verification Steps:
After Step 4, "Select your country/region," you'll reach the identity verification page. Here, enter your country/region, document type, real name, ID number, and click "Next."
Follow the prompts to upload the front and back photos of your ID and the verification video.
While recording the verification video, read the numbers provided on the page. The video must be in MP4, OGG, WEBM, 3GP, or MOV format and under 50MB.
After recording, a verification code will be sent to your registered email. Enter the code and click confirm.
Once the system uploads your data, wait patiently for the review to complete.
After completing these steps, please wait patiently. Venkate will review your information promptly. Once approved, we will notify you via email or internal message. Please check your registered email or notifications.
