How to create a set of access keys for your Venkate account?
Venkate currently supports using keys for login and withdrawal operations, compatible across various devices. Once added, you can use these keys for two-factor authentication on all associated devices. Compared to using just passwords, key-based verification is not only more secure and efficient but also provides stronger protection for your account's security.
How to set up access keys on the Venkate mobile app?
Currently, the key function is available only on mobile devices with iOS 16.0.0 or Android 7.0 and higher.
You can use iCloud Keychain, USB security keys, your phone's lock screen password or PIN code, or another device (such as another phone) to add your keys.
If you are using an iOS device to set up access keys on the Venkate app, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your Venkate mobile app account, navigate to the personal center, and click on "Security Center".
2. On the current page, select the access keys option, click to enable it.
3. A pop-up will appear. Verify your Venkate account email address, then click "Continue" and choose a verification method to create your access key.
- A. iCloud Keychain
1.If iCloud Keychain is not yet enabled, the system will prompt you to enable it. Click "Open iCloud Keychain" and follow the prompts to complete the setup.
2.If iCloud Keychain is already enabled, click "Continue" and complete the verification using your password or biometrics. Note that this key will sync across all Apple devices using the same Apple ID.
- B. USB/NFC Security Key
1.Click on "Other options" and select "Security Key".
2.Insert and activate your USB security key, or place the NFC key near the top of your device to complete the verification.
- C. Other Device
1.Click on "Other options" and select "iPhone, iPad, or Android device", then click "Continue".
2.A QR code will appear on the screen. Use another device (iPhone or iPad) to scan it.
4.You have successfully added the key to your Venkate account.
If you are using an Android device to set up access keys on the Venkate app, follow these steps:
Ensure that your Android device can install and use Google services. Without them, you won't be able to complete the access key setup.
1. Log in to your Venkate mobile app account, go to the personal center, and click on "Security Center".
2. On the current page, select the access keys option, click to enable it.
3. For the first-time setup of access keys, you'll need to undergo a security verification. Follow the prompts on the screen to complete the security verification.
4. Click "Continue" to add the key to your Venkate account.
How to set up access keys on the Venkate web portal?
To set up access keys on the Venkate web portal using a supported browser like Chrome, follow these steps:
1.Log in to Venkate Account:
- Log in to your Venkate account on the web portal.
- Click on the "Personal Center" icon at the top of the page, then select "Security Center".
2.Access Keys Setup:
- In the Security Center, click on the "Settings" button next to "Access Keys".
- Click on "Add Access Key".
3.Verification and Setup:
- A pop-up will appear. Confirm your Venkate account email address and choose the verification method for the new access key.
4.Methods of Verification:

Password or Biometric Verification:
- Click on "Add Access Key".
- Use your password or biometric (e.g., fingerprint ID on Mac) to verify your request. Note that keys created this way are stored only on this device.

USB Security Key:
- Click on "Use another device" and select "Security Key".
- Insert your security key into the computer and touch it to complete verification.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to finish.

Other Devices:
- Click on "Use another device" and select "iPhone, iPad, or Android device".
- A pop-up will display a QR code. Use your mobile device to scan this QR code.
- Click "Save Key" to store the key on your phone and follow the prompts to complete setup. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both your phone and computer.
- The access key is successfully added to your Venkate account. Note that keys created this way are stored only on this device.
Editing or Deleting Keys:

Using Venkate App:
- Click on the "Edit" icon next to the key to customize its name.
- To delete an access key, click on the "Delete" icon and verify the request using the access key or two-factor authentication.

Using Venkate Website (Chrome Browser):
- Click on the "Edit" or "Delete" icon next to the key to rename or delete it.
- Note: When deleting an access key in Chrome, you must use that access key to verify the request. For example, to delete a USB security access key, you need to insert the key into the computer to verify the request.
Ensure you follow these steps carefully to manage your access keys securely on Venkate.
How to set up or reset two-factor authentication (2FA)?
This guide applies to:
- Google Authenticator/Google 2FA
- SMS verification code/one-time SMS password/SMS 2FA
- Email verification code/one-time email password/email 2FA
Users can set up or reset 2FA using a web browser or the Venkate mobile application. For demonstration purposes, we will only show the web browser tutorial.
What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security method for identity and access management that requires two forms of verification to access resources and data.
At Venkate, users can protect their accounts with the following methods:
- Google Authenticator
- SMS verification code
- Email verification code
These verification methods can be used for logging in, withdrawing funds, and changing security settings to maximize the security of your Venkate account.
How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
You can set up 2FA using the Venkate website with the following steps::
- Log in to your Venkate account.
- In "Profile," click on "Security Center" from the drop-down menu
- Choose Two-Factor Authentication and click "Bind."

Google 2FA: Scan the barcode or manually enter the key. The verification code will appear in the authenticator, refreshing every 30 seconds.
SMS 2FA: Enter your phone number to receive the verification code on your mobile device.
Email 2FA: Enter your email address to receive the verification code via email. - Enter the verification code on the Venkate page and verify.
- Complete any additional security verifications required by the system.
How to Change Your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with Old 2FA?
You can change 2FA. Please note, for security reasons, once security verification has been changed, withdrawals or P2P sales from your account will be disabled for 24 hours.
You can reset 2FA using the Venkate website with the following steps:
- If your current 2FA is still active, visit https://venkate.io , log in to your account, select "Security Center," and follow the instructions to reset. You can also click this link directly: https://venkate.io
- Click "Change"
- Complete security verification using the password received from your registered email address, phone number, and/or Google Authenticator and click "Next" (Google verification code refreshes every 30 seconds)
- Bind the new 2FA to your account.
- Enter the 6-digit Google verification code and click Confirm.
How to Reset Your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Without Old 2FA?
You can reset two-factor authentication (2FA). Please note, for security reasons, once security verification has been changed, withdrawals or P2P sales from your account will be disabled for 24 hours.
You can reset 2FA using the Venkate website with the following steps:
If your current 2FA is unavailable and you need to reset it, there are three methods to choose from.
Method One: (Normal login)
a. Log in to your Venkate account, go to "Profile" - "Security Center," and click "Change" next to the item you want to reset.
b. Click "Security Verification Item Unavailable."
c. Check the item and click "Confirm Reset."
d. Follow the prompts to enter new verification info and click "Start Reset."
e. Upload a photo holding your ID and a paper with "Venkate+today's date+signature."
f. Wait for Venkate to review and notify you by email.
Method Two: (Cannot receive verification)
a. On the login page, enter your account info and click "Login."
b. Click "Security Verification Item Unavailable."
c. Check the item and click "Confirm Reset."
d. Follow the prompts to enter new verification info and click "Start Reset."
e. Upload a photo holding your ID and a paper with "Venkate+today's date+signature."
f. Wait for Venkate to review and notify you by email.
Method Three: (Forgot password)
a. On the login page, click "Forgot Password."
b. Enter your email/phone and click "Next."
c. Click "Security Verification Item Unavailable."
d. Check the item and click "Confirm Reset."
e. Follow the prompts to enter new verification info and click "Start Reset."
f. Upload a photo holding your ID and a paper with "Venkate+today's date+signature."
g. Wait for Venkate to review and notify you by email.
How to Reset Login Password:
You can reset your login password on Venkate website or app. ⚠️ For security reasons, account withdrawals or P2P sales will be disabled for 24 hours after changing security settings.
Using Venkate Website:
- Visit https://venkate.io and click "Login."
- On the login page, click "Forgot Password?"
- Enter your registered email or phone number, then click "Next."
- Complete security verification using the password sent to your registered email, phone, or Google Authenticator, then click "Confirm."
- Enter and confirm your new password, then click "Confirm."
Using Venkate App:
- Tap the icon at the top left of the homepage.
- Tap "Login/Register."
- Tap "Forgot Password?"
- Enter your registered email or phone number, then click "Next."
- Complete security verification using the password sent to your registered email, phone, or Google Authenticator, then click "Next."
- Enter and confirm your new password, then click "Confirm."
How to Reset Security Password:
You can reset your security password on the Venkate website or app. ⚠️ For security reasons, account withdrawals or P2P sales will be disabled for 24 hours after changing security settings.
Using Venkate Website:
- Go to Security Center.
- Click "Change" next to Security Password.
- Click "Forgot Security Password?"
- Enter new security password, login password, and complete security verification, then click "Confirm."
Using Venkate App:
- Tap the icon at the top left of the homepage.
- Tap "Security Center."
- Click "Change" next to Security Password.
- Click "Forgot Security Password?"
- Enter a new security password, login password, and complete security verification, then click "Submit."
How to Change Phone Number or Email?
*Changing your phone number or email requires ensuring that two out of three methods (Google Authenticator, phone, email) are enabled for two-factor authentication (2FA).
Changing Phone Number/Email on Venkate Website:
- Log into your Venkate account, click "Personal Center" at the top right, then "Security Center."
- In Security Center, click "Change" next to Phone/Email.
Note: For security, account withdrawals and C2C sales will be disabled for 24 hours after changing or unbinding phone/email.
- Enter the new phone number or email along with the verification code on the current page, and complete other security checks. Click "Confirm."
Note: If security verification isn't available, choose the option for resetting it.
Changing Phone Number/Email on Venkate App:
- Log into your Venkate App account, tap "Personal Center" at the top left, then "Security Center."
- In Security Center, click "Change" next to Phone/Email.
Note: For security, account withdrawals and C2C sales will be disabled for 24 hours after changing or unbinding phone/email.
- Enter the new phone number or email along with the verification code on the current page, and complete other security checks. Click "Confirm."

How to set up Google Authenticator?
What is Google Authenticator? It's a tool like SMS for generating dynamic passwords every 30 seconds. Use it for secure login, withdrawals, and security settings changes. How to set it up:
- Visit https://venkate.io, log in, and go to "Personal Center" > "Security Center."
- Click "Setup" next to Google Authenticator.
- Follow the three-step instructions. Enter your security password and the 6-digit code from Google Authenticator. If SMS 2FA is enabled, enter your security password, Google Authenticator code, and SMS code. Click "Submit."
(Note: Save your Google Authenticator secret key securely to avoid issues with phone changes or losses.)
Additional:
- Some Android phones may need "Google Installer" if Google Play services are absent.
- Google Authenticator needs camera access for QR code scanning.
- Restarting might be necessary for Google Play services on some devices.
- Verification codes are needed for login, withdrawals, and address generation.
